My name is Mary Jiménez. To say that I am thrilled to join the Westerly family is an understatement! As a parent, and having worked in Education for most of my life, finding a school that develops the whole child in a diverse and inclusive community was a wonderful opportunity.

I am so happy to take on the role of Administrative & Admissions Associate/Registrar here at Westerly. I grew up and have lived in Long Beach most of my life. I am the youngest of 6 siblings. I have a 10 year old daughter that will be starting 5th grade in the fall. I did two summer programs at UCLA and studied Liberal Arts at Long Beach City College. Most recently I was the Admission & Enrollment Management Associate for over 6 years at The Oaks School in Hollywood, CA. My work experience began at New City Public School, a former charter school here in Long Beach. In my 15 years there I took on various roles, from K-8 Teacher Assistant, to Registrar, to Administrative Coordinator working closely with the Executive Director.

I love going on little road trips with my daughter, going to the beach, and binge-watching Netflix and Disney+. I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of the lovely Westerly community!
