David Perram is a native of Buffalo, New York, however, more closely identifies as a southern-Californian as he spent the majority of my adult years as a Long Beach resident. He attended California State University Long Beach where he earned his B.A. in Communication Studies and later an M.Ed in Social and Cultural Analysis - all the while growing his career on the Westerly campus where he served as the after school & summer coordinator, middle school teaching associate, director of student affairs, and finished his tenure as the director of middle school.
David later moved to Madrid, Spain where he earned his Master's in Business Administration. This prompted his move to New York City where he joined Avenues: The World School. Hired to improve the global summer immersion program, he advanced his position and became the Director of Extended Learning, leading an international team to develop and deliver a portfolio of global educational experiences for toddlers through grade 12.
In addition to being a seasoned traveler, an avid reader, and an outdoor enthusiast, David serves as an ally and advocate for social and environmental causes and believes we all have a role to play to better our local and global community. David says he is "honored to be a Wildcat."
