Hi there! My name is Khyrysta (pronounced like “Krista”). I was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Long Beach in the pandemic. I am solar-powered, and I love to spend my free time in the sun at the beach or visiting one of our national parks! I have a fur nephew that is the love of my life, and I visit him in Denver as often as I can.

I am a huge fan of a good breakfast sandwich, and I will travel near or far to get one. If I leave school right after work, it's usually because I am heading to a Dodger game. I love to watch really bad reality TV to unwind after a long day. My love of travel has taken me to many parts of the world, and I am so excited to see more places in the next few years. I am a lover of books, and I can't resist buying **just one more** and I am currently in need of a larger bookshelf.

I have worked with students since graduating from UC San Diego, and I went back to school in 2018 to pursue my teaching credential and master's. I am coming from 5th grade, but I am so excited to be moving to middle school! Can't wait to meet you all!
