Submit your order and pay online at the time of your order. Online Scrip is incredibly convenient, as it also allows you the ability to "re-load" previously purchased gift cards when you order online, eliminating the need for multiple gift cards for the same retailer.

When you create an online scrip account, you will also need to set up a PrestoPay account if you want to make an electronic debit from your account. This process takes a few days, as they will make a small deposit (less than $0.15) to verify that it works and to confirm that you authorized the debit.

What is Card SCRIP?

Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas, and other essentials at many of your favorite retailers. Every time you purchase a gift card, you earn revenue for Westerly School.

How does SCRIP work and generate revenue for Westerly?

The Westerly WPA buys Scrip from a variety of stores, retailers, and restaurants. Because the Scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Westerly WPA buys the scrip at a discount, and sells the certificates to families for full face value. The difference – usually from 2 to 15 percent – is what Westerly gets to keep as revenue.

Example: If you buy $200 of Whole Foods scrip for groceries, $6 (3 percent) benefits Westerly. If you do that each month for the 10 months we are in school, that’s $60 earned from goods you would have purchased anyway! It’s so easy!
