Dear Westerly Friends and Family,

The Westerly community is united in celebrating the differences that make each student unique. Westerly cultivates each student so that he or she can mature to his or her full potential in the world beyond the school, into the community, and furthermore, life after Westerly.

Like most independent schools, Westerly receives no financial support from the state or federal governments. Successful independent schools must rely on the generosity of its community’s contribution, so we ask that each family join in supporting our school through two major fundraisers: the Annual Fund and the auction. These funds are critical in making it possible for Westerly to attract and retain its excellent faculty and create and improve dynamic programs and approaches that permit our children to develop the necessary skills to be successful in the 21st century.

There are numerous reasons why current parents, grandparents, alumni families, and faculty and staff give to Westerly. Current parents and grandparents give because they witness first-hand the positive impact that a Westerly education has on their child or grandchild. Past and alumni families give because they remember the memories they have experienced at Westerly and value the lasting effect it has had on their journey through life.

No matter the motive, we all give for one reason: we believe in Westerly. We believe in its mission and we are willing to invest in the foundation for our children to become life-long learners.

I look forward to meeting you and my door is always open to answer any questions you may have.

Warmly,

Crystal Angulo
